This database contains the full text of all EPA wastewater test methods approved at 40 CFR 136, all drinking water test methods approved at 40 CFR 141, all 1600 methods, radioactivity (900) and toxicity (1000) methods, and various EPA guidance documents and reports related to EPA's wastewater and drinking water programs. The database also indicates where each method is approved in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations, and the EPA document source for each method. This CD-ROM is available from the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) and is updated periodically.

AOAC Methods on CD-ROM. 16th edition.
This CD-ROM contains the full text of the 16th edition of analytical methods of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists. These chemical and microbiological methods are used in the analysis of food, agriculture, drugs, and the environment. The database includes new and revised methods as well as supporting validation studies. Updated periodically.

Electronic counterpart to the printed version, this database is a compilation of methods developed by NIOSH for monitoring occupational exposures to toxic substances in various matrices. The CD-ROM is available from the Government Printing Office and is updated several times a year. 

OSHA CD-ROM. 1997. 
Electronic counterpart to the printed version, this CD-ROM contains the full text of all OSHA analytical methods [Exit EPA] for organics and inorganics, including methods published after the 2nd edition.


Other Related Electronic Databases

 Environmental Monitoring Methods Index (EMMI)
Developed by the EPA Office of Water, Engineering and Analysis Division, EMMI is a comprehensive index to EPA sampling and analysis methods. The database is searchable by analyte, CAS number, method number, environmental law, etc. EMMI contains abstracts as well regulatory and document source information for each method in the database. The database is available on the EPA World Wide Web server and on the ESC's Local Area Network. EMMI was last revised in 1995 (version 2.0). 

Environmental Test Methods and Guidelines
This page on the EPA server provides links to analytical test methods for air, water, solid waste, and pesticides, as well as related technical documents. Many air and solid waste methods are available in full text. Several water methods are also presented in their entirety.

 Index of EPA Test Methods
This index, developed by EPA Region I, is available on the EPA World Wide Web server and provides an index of all approved EPA methods. The index is arranged alphabetically by analyte.

Esta institución es la encargada de definir el texto y al ambito de aplicación  de métodos para análisis ambienal y otros tipos de ensayos a aplicar en Chile. Está también a cargo de la acreditación de laboratorios analíticos de medio ambiente según la Norma ISO 25.
